2016 in review

I’m not a huge believer in the idea that life will/can/should begin anew on January 1. Every day is the start of a new year, really. However, I’ve been thinking of everything we’ve achieved and all the changes we’ve made over the last year and a bit – from me having a new role in my day job and J graduating from university, through to learning to drive, expanding our fur family and becoming enthusiastic (if not consistently successful) gardeners.

So here are some photos of our journey thus far – some of these have been on the blog before, others are new here.

There’s a lot we don’t have photos of, as well. We had gas hot water installed, our bathroom fan replaced, all the old nails in our roof swapped out (to stop leaks) – and we started this blog!

I don’t think there’ll be quite the same number of achievements in 2017, but we’ve got some fairly chunky things on our to-do list.

Happy New Year!

  1. I see the steps, (your latest project,) is looking good and it is interesting to look back and see how much of the garden is dug now :-O The fence looks fantastic! Hard to believe how bad it looked before it was painted. Well done to all those involved 🙂
Keep up the good work. YOu guys have both achieved a lot in 2016 and you have earned a little respite as you save up for those other big jobs ahead of you. I know you have more plans but like you say, they are hefty :-O So well done and may 2017 treat you well 🙂
